The Midlands Project

GET HOOKED ON FISHING MIDLANDS was established in 2002 by Bournville Village Trust to build a brighter future for young people through the sport of angling and is now run by Andrew Walker

Our vision is to create opportunities for all young people, aged 8-17 years, to receive a quality introduction to the sport of angling through structured pathways for them to continue participating and progressing.

We believe that all young people have the right to:

• Experience and enjoy the sport of angling
• A quality introduction to angling suited to their own level of development
• The best teaching, the best coaching and the best resources
• Experience and benefit from positive competition
• Progress along a structured pathway of angling opportunities
• Fulfil their angling potential.

Volunteering

Get Hooked on Fishing is very open to people wishing to gain further Youth Work experience or angling knowledge by way of volunteering. Anyone wishing to do so can contact Andy directly for further information.
